Bought last year. First day using in beach sand, a small deep pit appeared near the edge of the lip after the new finish began to wear off. Emailed ckg concerned it might eventually crack so close to the edge. Sent pics. No response. The titanium is super light which is nice but wish they had better support. I wasn’t even really seeking a replacement just wanted to communicate the concern in case the pit turned into something worse. Clearly it’s mine for the duration of its life now so I use it sparingly in light sand and baby it when I do.

This CKG Titanium scoop's workmanship is very good. Welds are clean and tight. This scoop, coupled with CKG's one piece carbon fiber pole, weighs 2.25 lbs. My old aluminum sand scoop weighs 4.45 lbs. I haven't been to the beach yet so a performance review will come later.

I couldn't be more happy with this scoop. It is light years better than my previous scoop, light weight, and really moves some sand. The new one piece handle is great too!

Went with the titanium because of the lighter weight. The previous CKG has held up with a small amount of surface rust on the stainless steel so I figured I would give the titanium a try. The extra width and weight makes the extra money well spent.

The weld design is pretty sturdy no evidence of flex.

Combined with the ckg collapsible handle it's a great product.
I'll do another review in 6months but so far so good.

It handles like a feather and digs with a vengeance. Sifts sand very easily. Target extraction evolved into an art-form. Very pleased indeed!!!
