CKG 3K Carbon Fiber Travel Sand Scoop Handle (blue): Fits my CKG scoop with the slightest of gaps. But any tighter, then I know it wouldn't fit. So, I put a 1-layer ring of electrical tape around to reduce the intrusion of salt water. Still, I disassemble and wash out everything after a few outings to delay the rust which salt eventually produces on even the best stainless steel.

Well made, I placed a 7/8" wood dowel x 8" long inside handle that goes into the scoop for extra strength at this point. Drilled hole for bolt to secure. Needed 1 wrap of electrical tape on end of pole to tighten the shaft into scoop.

Had to insert wood 6 inch dowel into scoop end of handle and wrap shim material around outside of same to eliminate wobble / sloppy fit into scoop… also replaced rubber end cap with 4 inch wood dowel & golf ball in handle end of handle….really like the handle now….

I was using a wooden handle until it broke. This graphite replacement was the smartest idea yet.It does not flex, it held all of the mud and gravel our scoop dug up, and it floats. AWESOME!

The butterfly wing is bothersome, I’m constantly tightening it, Tried a lock washer, not really a help. The fiber rod is great but not sure I have the confidence in it’s sturdiness like my solid one piece stainless steel.
