The CKG Lower Minelab Equinox 600/800 Shaft is a lightweight carbon fiber lower rod replacement designed for Minelab Equinox 600 and 800 detectors.
Built from rigid 3K carbon fiber, it reduces lower-shaft flex, improves coil stability, and lowers swing fatigue during long hunts in wet sand, surf, and mixed terrain.

Why Upgrade the Lower Shaft
The lower shaft absorbs most of the stress during repetitive sweeping and coil contact with wet sand, shells, and uneven terrain.
A stiffer carbon fiber lower rod helps:
• reduce coil wobble;
• improve sweep stability;
• reduce false responses from shaft flex;
• improve target repeatability;
• lower shoulder and wrist fatigue.
The lighter tip weight also improves balance during long beach sessions.
Beach and Wet Sand Performance

Installation
1. Remove existing lower shaft
Detach the coil bolt and slide off the original rod.
2. Install the coil
Attach the coil to the new CKG lower shaft using your existing hardware.
3. Connect to upper shaft
Insert the lower rod into the factory upper shaft and lock it in place.
4. Route the cable
Wrap the coil cable in a loose spiral without over-tightening near the coil.
5. Adjust for balance
Set your preferred sweep height and test several swings before hunting.
