My interest in metal detecting has recently grown. Though I have owned a detector for years, I've always thought that my lackluster experience was due to the quality of that detector. I decided it was time to step up my game so I purchased what many people consider an industry leading detector. I found out rather quickly that although I can detect much more and even better identify what I am detecting, I still wasn't finding the experience to be much more enjoyable. After some careful consideration and hours watching other people detect in online videos I realized how inefficient my shovel was in the sand. Not to mention it wouldn't be helpful at all if I wanted to step into the surf. So, I did some more digging (pun intended) and stumbled onto a good deal at CKG for a sand scoop with a handle. Ordering was simple, shipping was faster than expected, and overall my first impressions with CKG were nothing but positive. I recieved my product just in time for a 10 day trip to the beach though I ordered a bit late to have any expectations it would be with me on this trip. Everything I needed was right in the box. It was nice that CKG included the tools to attach the long handle to the scoop so I didn't have to do the dredded tool box dive before heading out. The carbon fiber handle is super lightweight and durable while the scoop itself is well crafted and weighted nicely. Combined, this product is a thing of beauty and gives me a good feeling knowing that my equipment doesn't look like I crawled out of a dumpster to be a beach scavenger. I found my first real treasures with this scoop and CKG has found a customer for life. Though I don't suspect I will be needed another sand scoop for years to come, I am already in the process of upgrading the remainder of my equipment and trusting CKG with these purchases. I now have not only the sand scoop but 2 find bags and the waterproof pinpointer. Very satisfied with my purchases thus far and have found metal detecting to be much more fun. Moral of the story: everything becomes more enjoyable when you have the right tools.
